
Nottinghamshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak with after a taxi driver's window was shattered by a beer bottle outside a local KFC.
The incident took place at around 3:15 am on April 18 outside the fast-food restaurant on Milton Street.
Officers have been reviewing surveillance footage and conducting inquiries before identifying a individual they believe holds crucial information.
While the driver escaped physical injury, the attack caused significant disruption to his livelihood. PC Robin Gurney explained: "Thankfully the taxi driver wasn't injured but this incident left him unable to work for a few days, as well as incurring a large cost for repairs."
Investigating officers are now turning to the public to help identify the man in the image. “We would ask anyone that recognises the person in this photo to please get in touch with us," PC Gurney added.
"We believe that they could have information that can assist us with our investigation, so we are very keen to speak to him.”
Authorities are urging anyone who recognises the man or has information about the incident to call the police on 101, quoting occurrence number 26000232519.
Alternatively, witnesses can provide tips anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
