The angry driver contacted PHTM to share his story: “I was waiting outside an Accrington pub when a drunk and racist man hit my car for no reason.
"When I confronted him he continued to swear at me and then physically assaulted me.
"Sorry no audio on the video but you can clearly see in the bus shelter window that he punched me in the face.
"I was shocked, but once I realised what had happened I called the police.
"When the police arrived someone in the pub saw the man who hit me walk past with his hood up and the police chased him.
"However, the man then climbed onto the roof of a building and the police told me to leave the scene.
"Once I had been to hospital and returned home, the police told they had not managed to find the man and are now closing the case.
"I wanted to share my story as I do not understand how the police let the man get away in the first place, plus there is cctv on the pub so why are they are not able to identify him?”
