MESSAGE TO THE TRADE FROM BRISTOL SOUTH GLOS TAXI COP PC PATRICK QUINTON

“Hello drivers, today I was working with police colleagues, South Glos Licensing and DVSA.

We stopped and checked 89 vehicles across our area. I'm delighted to say that the compliance rates were excellent !

No bald tyres or other serious defects (I did notice there were a lot of brand new tyres today ????).

We carried out some eyesight and drugs tests which were all fine. In total we issued just 6 Non Compliance Notices (mainly for minor badge issues).

It was great to meet some drivers for the first time today !

So, if you were stopped and checked today: WELL DONE for your great standards and THANK YOU for your patience and cooperation, particularly with my less experienced colleagues.

It's made me a very happy Taxi Cop!
