MAIZE TRANSPORT WELCOMES THE WIRRALS NEWEST PRIVATE HIRE DRIVER

Thomas Caswell proves neurodiversity is no barrier to the open road.

Joining the team at Maize Transport, Thomas is hitting the peninsula's roads with a mission to provide reliable, high-quality service while navigating the unique challenges of Asperger’s, Dyspraxia, and anxiety.

In an industry where quick reflexes and social confidence are often seen as the only path to success, Thomas is rewriting the script. By combining the hyper-focus associated with Asperger’s with a meticulously planned approach to driving, he is turning his neurodiversity into a roadmap for professional excellence.

Navigating Challenges, Delivering Results:

For Thomas, obtaining his licence was a journey of mastering the motor coordination hurdles of Dyspraxia and managing the social anxieties inherent in daily public interaction. His arrival at Maize Transport serves as a powerful reminder that with the right preparation and mindset, hidden disabilities do not define a person’s potential.

"I’ve had to work twice as hard to manage the coordination and the nerves," says Caswell. "But that hard work means I don't take anything for granted. Every turn, every route, and every passenger's comfort is something I’ve prepared for with 100% of my focus."

A Commitment to Inclusive Service:

Maize Transport is proud to champion this inclusive approach to the local workforce. Mark Newbery, Operations Manager at Maize Transport, expressed his pride in Thomas’s milestone and the perspective he brings to the company.

"I am incredibly proud of Thomas’s achievements and thrilled to welcome him to the team," said Newbery. "His perspective is invaluable; it will help us understand our customer needs better and ensure we are providing a thoughtful, inclusive service for everyone on the Wirral."

Thomas Caswell welcome to our trade from all at PHTM!
