BANBURY STREET TAPED OFF AFTER TAXI CRASHES INTO HOUSE

A residential street in Banbury, Oxfordshire, has been cordoned off by police after a taxi crashed into a house.

The incident on Woodgreen Avenue happened sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, 18 August.

Police tape is currently blocking public access to the street, and a white taxi can be seen at the scene, having collided with a house and facing the road.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) has not yet released details on what caused the crash or the exact time of impact.

Early on Monday, a TVP spokesperson confirmed: "We are currently on scene at an incident on Woodgreen Avenue, Banbury."

They advised the public to "avoid this area" as the section of the street "between Bretch Hill turn off and Broughton Road roundabout is closed."
