Cleveland Police has launched a hunt for a thief after a string of thefts from taxis in the central and Park wards of Middlesbrough.
A number of cabs have been targeted, with the man reportedly stealing "small amounts of cash" from the vehicles.
Most of the incidents were reported to have happened overnight on Sunday, October 5, and Monday, October 6.
Police are currently conducting inquiries, including scouring CCTV and carrying out "high visibility patrols in the area overnight, when most offences have occurred."
A force spokeswoman also issued advice to help prevent further thefts: "Whilst enquiries are being carried out, officers would like to share advice with regards to helping to prevent thefts from vehicles, such as removing valuables and small change from view and ensuring that vehicle doors and windows are secure."
