TAXI drivers are being reminded to remove all valuables from their car when not carrying out business after a spate of break-ins recently
Police have received five separate reports of taxis in Drumchapel being broken into.
Two vehicles were targeted on September 1, one on September 15, one on September 16 and one on September 25.
All the incidents happened overnight and followed a similar pattern which saw a window smashed on each vehicle and a money box removed from inside.
In total, £420 has been stolen in the five incidents.
A petition calling for Erewash cabbies to be allowed to have fully-tinted windows in their taxis has been rejected over fears that vehicles could be used to enable the abuse of vulnerable children and adults.
