A gang of thieves on bicycles smashed the window of a taxi and made off with £150 in cash.
The trio were caught on a CCTV camera positioned outside a shop in Western Park, Leicester.
The footage shows two of the gang cycle up to the parked taxi, while the third heads to the front of RG Store, in Park Rise.
One then allegedly smashes the front driver's side window and grabs a bag full of money.
All three then cycle off.
The entire incident lasts just 21 seconds.
The taxi driver, Muhammad Amir Javid, said: "I went into the shop for two minutes, max.
"There was a bus that had pulled up at the stop and was right next to my car when the cyclists stole the money right in front of him, then rode off.
"The bus driver came into the shop and told us what had just happened, and later I saw it on the shop's CCTV.
"They had cycled up and smashed the window and took the money, which had my day's takings of about £150 in it.
"It's cost me £80 to repair the window as well.
"I was surprised how easily they got the money and how quickly it happened."
The incident took place at about 5.50pm on Saturday.
Muhammad, 39, who lives in Highfields, Leicester, said the money bag would have not have been visible from outside the car.
"They wouldn't have been able to see it," he said.
"They were just lucky.
"They just smashed the window and grabbed what they could, and right in front of the bus driver.
"It's really, really bad."
Muhammad has been driving his taxi for five months and is the sole earner in his family, supporting his wife and three children, including a two-month-old baby.
He has reported the incident to the police and they are investigating.
A man who works in the shop, but did not want to be named, said: "The taxi driver had just come in to buy a Red Bull and a snack, and the bus driver saw the three on bikes smash the window and everything.
"He came in and told us what happened.
"When I looked at the CCTV I was very surprised by how quickly it happened - and that is happened at all.
"This is a very quiet area."
A police spokeswoman said: "We are investigating a theft from a taxi parked in Park Rise, Leicester, on October 29.
"The window of the taxi was smashed and the cash float was taken. It is believed the suspects made off on bikes.
